N-VSL

NULAI Virtual StreetLaw (N-VSL) is a sub programme under NULAI’s Legal Empowerment, Access to Justice and StreetLaw Program.

StreetLaw is a globally recognized legal education programme that equips individuals with practical knowledge of their rights and responsibilities, fostering social justice and empowerment. It simplifies legal concepts and enables everyday people to make informed decisions about legal issues affecting their lives.

NULAI Nigeria has implemented various StreetLaw initiatives, empowering communities with knowledge about their legal rights and responsibilities through our network of law clinics. The N-VSL is an innovative initiative designed to promote legal empowerment, people-centered justice and public awareness through digital advocacy, delivered through approaches that allow our law students to harness their creative talents towards enhancing public understanding of key Nigerian laws, their application by various agencies, and their impact on society.

Goal: The Nigerian public are legally empowered to participate as active members in building a sustainable, democratic and people centered justice society.

Objective: It will empower law clinic students and Nigerian youth to actively engage in Promotion of Public Legal Knowledge, Encourage Critical Debate, and Promote Active Youth Engagement in public legal education

NULAI Virtual StreetLaw Competition

As part of the Virtual StreetLaw programme, NULAI introduces the Virtual StreetLaw Competition (N-VSLC). The competition will engage Nigerian law clinics to create compelling and educational digital content using street law framework.
