NULAI Virtual StreetLaw

NULAI VIRTUAL STREETLAW (N-VSL)

NULAI Nigeria works to foster legal empowerment through campus-based clinical legal education programmes that provide opportunity for law students to carry out justice education and streetlaw programmes in communities across the country. StreetLaw is a teaching programme that teaches people about social justice, equality and key legal principles.

Through StreetLaw, law clinic students help communities and the public understand they have a part to play in shaping the society. StreetLaw is an inclusive, people-centered justice approach that provides justice solutions in line with SDG 16.3, by providing opportunities and platforms for everyday people (especially the marginalized, vulnerable and underserved) to understand how the law works, is applied and affects them on a daily basis, supporting the rule of law and ensuring equal access to justice.

Today’s community is both physical and digital, NULAI aims to continue serving our physical and virtual communities by commencing a Virtual StreetLaw (VSL) programme. The VSL will be delivered through innovative approaches that allow our law students to harness their creative talents and build their digital skills while promoting public interest.
